Up Close With Insects — Tustel Ico’s Wondrous Macro Insect Photography

The work of Indonesian Tustel Ico gives new meaning to the term “shutter bug.” Using a specialized macro lens and a swarm’s worth of patience, Ico photographs insects in their natural environment, and on occasion he finds them in situations where the scene is ripe with whimsy (as in the case of the mantis on the “bike”).
