The Igloo Village at Hotel Kakslauttanen is an incredible sight to be seen. Not only do guests get to stay in an igloo made from glass, but they also get to take in a spectacular view of the Northern Lights and millions of other stars in the crystal clear sky. Now this is my kind of camping!
The “igloos” are built from a special thermal glass, so that the temperature inside the igloo always stays at a comfortable level. This also prevents the glass from getting white frosted, which keeps the view nice and clear. Each glass igloo is equipped with a bathroom (so don’t worry, you won’t have to find your way to a porter potty in the middle of the night).
Hotel Kakslauttanen is located 250 km above the Arctic Circle in the Finnish part of Lapland.
