A Wild Forest Grows Onboard An Abandoned Ship in Australia

The SS Ayrfield is a 1,140 tonne abandoned ship located in Homebush Bay, Australia. What is so remarkable about this rusty old ship is that after years of sitting, trees and other kinds of vegetation have sprouted up onboard.

The ship, which was built in 1911, is known to locals as “The Floating Forest”, and was originally used in World War II to bring supplies to American troops who were stationed in the region.
